PBS really does have a lot of good content. I always thought it was kind of sketch but they really do a good job with a lot of their programming. I’m watching the second half of special on Net Neutrality and Bill Moyers just keeps blasting away with both barrels at the telcom industry and cable companies. I can’t imagine a show like this one would actually make it on one of the networks with how negative the commentary is. I have followed the issue of net neutrality on and off for about 9 months now and I can’t believe more people aren’t talking about it. Issues like gun control and abortion law are certainly important, but they will never change the way we live and do it as fast as the internet can. To lose free and equal access to the internet would effectively stop technological progress and put a major damper on the tech economy.

On a lighter note, I love Action News 8 here in Santa Cruz. Their nightly news is awesome. They were just making fun of a group of Italians who are “trying to prove that kids are just as entertained by shadow puppets as they are by video games.” The action news anchor response, “All they proved is they’re wrong.” Nice. Finally, local news that is watchable.
