Ehhth

So I’ve ended up having an unintentional three day weekend. I left work after two hours today because I felt like crap. I’m not really that sick but I have a little bit of a headache, I had a bad night for allergies, and I didn’t sleep well. So since everyone was in the office today, there really wasn’t much point in sitting there feeling like crap when I can sit at home in the dark and feel like crap while wrapped in a blanket. I’m in that weird sick stage too where you don’t feel very hungry but every time you eat something you feel better. Hopefully I feel better tomorrow.

On the lighter side of things, I went out on Friday and traded in my PS2 for an Xbox 360. I really like it, especially since I found out after buying it that it does all of the media center stuff I wanted my old computer to do. I can stream everything from my laptop to the 360 and listen to music and watch videos on there. I was also able to download an old episode of Numb3rs that I hadn’t seen and watched that too. Surprisingly good quality also. I don’t have an HDTV so I’m not seeing anything at 720p but it looks just as good as a lot of the torrent stuff you can find. The only thing that bummed me out about it is the fact that you can’t use the component cables unless you have at least an “enhanced definition” tv, that is one that runs at 480p. Regular tv and cable signals run at 480i, which is what most regular tv’s display. The big downside is that since my tv is only 480i when I try to hook up the component cables it makes the screen all wacky so I have to settle for the lower quality composite (RCA) cable connection. Oh well, guess I’ll save up for a new tv next!
