Too long!
Wow, I guess I forgot how long it has been since I last posted since I have been journaling more and blogging less in the last week. I guess not a whole lot has changed so that’s why I haven’t written, but I am embarking on my first home repair. In searching for ways to better insulate and seal off my apartment from the outside elements, I found some boards that are totally rotten so I’m pulling them out and planning on replacing them with fresh wood. I don’t think I’ll be able to completely fix the problem though because to get to where the water is coming into my apartment and damaging the wall I would actually have to damage the wall pretty severely and I’m not sure I’m actually allowed to do that. I’m actually not sure I’m 100% allowed to do what I’m doing at the moment but I figure if I don’t then no one is going to do anything. At least once I replace the bad wood it should look a little better. Worst case scenario I’ll just use the spray foam I got from Don to try to seal off as much of it as I can. I am going to take a look at the deck above too and see if I can’t find where the water is dripping down into my place. Anyway, I best be headed for bed. All work and no sleep makes Jonathan very rich, but very tired. And that just won’t do.
