I’m an Idiot

So I had all these great plans for how I was going to stay up late and watch the lunar eclipse and take all these great pictures.  Except when I woke up Tuesday morning I realized that when people said the eclipse would take place Tuesday, they meant like, 2am Tuesday, which to me is Monday night.  So while I didn’t go to bed until 2:30 or 3am on “Tuesday” I missed the whole thing thinking it was the next night.  Grrr, I hate it when I make mistakes like that.

That kind of put a damper on my whole day and I really didn’t feel like going out anywhere after that.  Fortunately though I got a call from a friend that a bunch of people were going down to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk for their last “cheap” night.  I grabbed my camera and it ended up being a really, really good time.  I finally started shooting again after being really slack on my photography this summer.  I really do need to force myself to get out and shoot more often.  I should make some business cards (or get some of those flickr moo cards) so that I can hand them to someone if they are wondering who I am or what I’m doing.  That is my biggest fear about taking pictures in public, I don’t want people to get mad at me for taking their picture.  Anyway, back to the rides.  We went on the Big Dipper, the old wooden roller coaster at the Boardwalk and it was really fun.  It was longer and faster than I remembered so that was fun.  I suck at screaming though so most of the time I just have my mouth open like an idiot with no sound coming out.  Oh well.

Anyway, not much more going on besides that.  Summer is almost over so I’ll soon be back on a more regular/normal schedule which will be nice.  It was good to go to Vintage on Sunday night instead of the morning service this last week so I’m looking forward to doing that again.

If you wonder why I sometimes don’t blog anything for a week and then release a flurry of posts it’s because I read somewhere once about how it was someones pet peeve when people make pointless blog posts about how they’re sorry for being a way and really should post more.  So I’ve decided to only post when I have something to say.  It sometimes takes about a week of chewing over an idea in my head before I’m ready to put it down on paper, as it were, so that is why I’m a little spotty sometimes.  Anyway, ciao!
