ban comic sans

I came across an awesome Comic Sans quote in a CSS book I checked out from the library.  I’m going to see about just moving the little html page I wrote in notepad over to a more fleshed out page backed up with CSS to make it pretty.  I’m leaning away from an online store because of all the hastle it would be to get the proper licensing and registration stuff to start a business.  Anyway, on to the quote!

“. . . really Comic Sans is a bit of a joke. It’s rare that you’ll come across a design that demands it’s text be rendered in this very informal typeface. It’s unfortunate that any web sites using Comic Sans tend to have that “my first web site” feel about them, and it is best reserved for unfunny jokes or printable party invitations. Use Comic Sans for your little sister’s web site about ponies.”

    My name is Jonathan Assink.

I'm a writer, photographer, baseball nut, foodie & lover of indie bands you've probably never heard of. I wrote a theology of justice for artists & love to talk about the intersection of art, faith & social justice. I am passionate about words & images. I have a heart for the city, for the church (in whatever form it takes) & for artists.

Though inspired & influenced by many different people and experiences my words here are my own & do not represent the views of any organization I might be involved in.
