So it has been a week since I posted my first poem and I’ve written another.  I don’t know how long this will last but for the time being I’m going to try to post a new poem every Monday.  Here we go!

Stuck

oh, hi
when did you get here
welcome to my home
this little hole
my humble abode

i’ve been here for some time now
this chair i’ve built from hopes and dreams
has become my resting place
you can give it a try
if you’d like to let go

i’m glad you are here now
in this hole of mine
i was getting lonely
here by myself

so pull up a chair
together we will lob snarky comments
at passers-by
maybe one of them will stumble in
and join us
